Terry, Ellen (Dame Alice Ellen)  (1847 – 1928)
English stage actress. Born in Coventry, West Midlands, England. Wife of British painter George Frederic Watts (1864); separated 1865; grandaunt of Sir John Gielgud. Best known for her roles as Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing and Portia in The Merchant of Venice.
