Guggenheim, Daniel  (1856 – 1930)
American Industrialist and Philanthropist. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Head of American Smelting & Refining Company, 1901-19. Subsidized free band concerts in New York City and promoted safe flying through the Daniel Guggenheim Fund for the Promotion of Aeronautics.
